How you can connect you Ps2 for online gaming?

Do you want to play online?

Well I can help you!

Ok........there are 2 things that you MUST HAVE to play online

1) you will need "broadband'

2) you will also need an e-mail address that works.

If you already know how to play online and your gaming system is saying it can not connect to the internet, set the year to 2000 on your gaming system.

you will also need to reconfigure your IP, then turn off the Rougher for 20seconds and then turn back on, then test your setting’s

if you are playing though a Router/firewall

you will need to Enable Port FORWARDING (Port forwarding can interfere with game play, and some games will say that you Router/firewall is in the way or that the port is not open. for more information on port FORWARDING go to portforward )

(If you have played online before you got a modchip (only if you have) and the sever is saying that it cannot connect, it is because they make a note of your serial no on the HDD and when you get the modchip installed and if you upgrade the HDD the serial no on the HDD is different to the serial no on the HDD that was in your Xbox previously . there is away around this….if you can boot your gaming system with no mod mode then you will be able to play online ;)

(For Xbox, to play online you will need to buy an online card from you local gaming store, for Ps2 you will not need to, you just pay for the price of the LAN)

Have you ever had a problem when a message comes up and say please check your files and configurations?? Well you don’t have to …..All you need to do is turn of the Router for 20 seconds and then turn back on and away you play... ;)

If the sever say please contact someone….DON’T!!!! All you need to do is clean the disk!! And then put the game back in and then reset the console!

When there are no games or other people online.

Stay online and make a game, and in no time someone will join your game.

Most people think because there is no one else online there is no point in

Making a game and then they go offline.

WARINING!! The ISP’S can not help you with online gaming they don’t know anything at all it’s just a waste of time trying to call them and talking, I’m the one that can help you with anything

If you want to play online with games that are made by Sony you will have to register you Ps2 at https://www.ps2registration.com/user/con... and make an account with them. When you do this you will be sent a disk by Sony so you can play online with there games. When you get you Ps2 you will have a pace of paper that will have some information on what to do. Keep this in a safe place. Your online code is on the back of this!!!! AND YOU WILL NEED THE CODE!!!

How to set up if you know nothing about it.

Q) Do you have broadband?

A)

If not, you can talk to you phone company and see if they provide broadband, a recommended broadband provider (ISP) is telecom, It’s the best for playing online gaming

Q) Do you have an E-mail address?

A)

If no, you can set-up an email address at: www.hotmail.com

Q) Do you have a Router?

A)

If you don’t, you can get one from your local DES store.

If you buy a Router you will need to get it set up by a professional (You can fined one in you phone book)

DO NOT, DO NOT!! PLAY ONLINE WITH WIRELESS ROUTER, IT WILL SOLW DOWN GAME PLAY!!!

(You will need to get this set up by a professional…you can fined one in you phone book)

(You will need 2X “Ethernet cable” you can buy them from your local DSE store)

(This is only for people that have a fat Ps2)

If you have an old Ps2 you will need to buy what’s called a PS2 Network Adaptor from TradeMe for $65.00 www.trademe.co.nz

Q) Do you want to talk to other people whilst playing online?

A)

You can buy a Ps2 head set from www.trademe.co.nz

It will help if you make a list of what you need to get when you go shopping for the hardware

Have you ever wanted to know why copied Ps2 or Xbox games will not play back without a mod chip?

Well…..on the disk there is a code(DeCSS), only the Ps2 or Xbox itself can read…if you try copy it with your PC it can not read the code so it can put it onto the other copy .

If you are lucky DVD Decrypter will copy and Decrypt DeCSS (the encrypted code on the disk) and put it onto the copy that you make. %5 out of %100 worked for them and they could play the game with no mod chip. If burning game and DVD’s do not use an 8.5gig bubble layer DVD. It will not play the movies or games. For more information on DeCSS go to

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DeCSS

If you want to copy a Ps2 or Xbox game etc… go to

http://fileforum.betanews.com/download/D for more information on how to copy games see page 6 and 7.

If you try play a copied game online it will not work unless if the game has been patched

With DNAS code (you can down load the patching files from the internet ...search “DNAS patch code”)

Games that where made before 2003 that have online play will not need to be patched DNAS. The DNAS do this to see if the game is real or not and then they let you pasted.

For DNAS error code FAQ go to http://www.dslreports.com/faq/11354

Ps2, Xbox 360 games and DVD from other countries will sometimes not work w/out a mod chip. On the bottom right corner of the box there is a logo that will have NTSC, PAL/SECAM, or SEAM...See the pix bellow with the read cercal around it that’s where the logo is….. On DVD box it will be in different place to the game box. This is a Ps2 game box
