if you trust kaspersky only, then install their security suite or antivirus and evaluate it. I cannot properly solve your question, bt you can even ask for its valid! keys from me at samdarsh4u2@yahoo.com
You can do one thing, turn off your firewall and then try to run the scanner. Otherwise if you want to go free, switch to avira antivirus v8. It has excellent detection (even more than kaspersky). I have tried all antiviruses, and Kaspersky and Avira are my best. So i keep the keyas of these products with me. Ask for them if U want. Even if they are blocked, i will give it to you instantly a new 1 when they are blocked

Wii and it's online.........?
i love the wii. my favorite console out there right now.
but! i think online could be cooler.
i have many games for it, and i have to say the only good one i have for online is Medal of Honor 2.
just because there is no lag, and lots of games, ones that i can actually see/choose.
unlike the guitar hero online. very, very unimpressed with that games wi-fi.
i get so agrivated over GH3 wi-fi, becuase il make mine any non ranked game, and i get nothing back.
just let me look at the games for crying out loud.
Also, Dragon ball z 3??? could that online be any worse? i haven't tried to play online for over a month now because i kept on getting kicked off/laggy.
so, have you guys had any problems with it?
and if so... how did you come up with a solution?
Also, any other good online games out there, that don't suck

Is virginia college online a good school?
Right now i am going to strayer university online and to be honest i hate it. You call and it seems like no one wants to help you or you get the run around. I am thinking about transferring to virginia college online but havent seen much about it online. So is it a good school or not let me know or should i just stay with strayer?
I am going for my associates in paralegal and when i graduate want it to be a plus on my resume. Now for the other question does Virginia college online look better on a resume or does strayer. What is the best online school to take for an associates in paralegal? Thanks to anyone who can help.

I have a PS3 and recently set up online on it!
Formula One Championship Edition automatically set up its online information but when I put in NBA 2K8 (which does have online mode), nothing happened.

AFAIK, Planex wifi usb adapter are the only official brand which is working hand in hand with Xlink Kai ( Online gaming community) probably you will want to do a google or yahoo on X Link Kai to find out more.

Questions about degrees online in health care etc.?
If you get a degree in Health Care Administration online could you eventually become a doctor from that degree? I would like to eventually become a Doctor but I dont see anytime for a regular college right now so want to do online. What degree program can I do online that will eventually lead me to being a doctor. I don't want to be wasting my time now doing nothing so I figured an online degree would be good. I know if I get a degree in science I should be ok but I can't find an online university that offers that. I know thats alot but any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

That said, if you still want to try, do not worry about studying health care administration, unless you just like that field. Medical schools admit students from a broad range of backgrounds... ranging from history to art and everywhere in between.
Extracurriculars
Admissions' committees like to see well-rounded students who participate in college life. That's hard to do online. If you still go that route, get involved with the community or at your church, etc.

An online game that is WORTH it. xD?
Well, basically, im slowly getting bored of online games. Gunbound is keeping my interest because its fun (lol), but im done with RO...too boring for me now (this includes private servers with gunslingers/ninja). Maplestory is too much of a level grind with too many fanboys/fangirls (its not even that good anyway). I was interested in some Japanese/Korean online games, but they almost always have an IP block so i can't play (since I'm in the states). Currently I'm only playing gunbound and gunster (and trickster...somewhat). Puyo pop fever online (Japanese)/Mr Driller online (Korean) were fine until it got dominated by pros/few ppl playing. Please help! There has to be games out there that are fun, have a good community, and has good replay value (so no maplestory/FFXI PLEASE). Thanks for taking your time in reading this, BUT PLEASE don't respond by saying "yahoo games" or multi-gaming websites...they aren't mmo's (and yes I played WoW already).

Bullied? Online?
I've been hearing so many complaints recently about online bullying. Is this true? What I can't figure out is how can you be bullied, online, by someone in front of a computer, hundreds of miles away? And people get flustered by this. Is it that hard to unplug these days? Must these people constantly stay online even though they are being "bullied" by some psycho internet stalker? I'm still trying to wrap my brain around how one CAN be bullied online. Doesn't make sense to me. Clarifications?

I have career experience (2-3 years), and my GPA my undergraduate program was weak.
What REPUTABLE online degree programs are there out there for me?

I'm totally confused, I've tried EVERYTHING!!! How do you play online with ps2 games. I know that the games have to support multiplayer in order to play them online, so don't bring that possibility. I have the slim ps2 but I don't know how to play online.

Anyways, since you have the slim PS2, you dont need a network adapter, not like the other guy said. the slim ps2 comes network ready. also, u cant have a hard drive on slim.(the first guy was talking about the old fat PS2 -(3000 OR 5000 series, U Have the 7000 series)...
Check Your user manual. It should come with CD for online play.
use that.
or just plug in the Ethernet cord from your router or modem in the back of your ps2 where there is a plug for ethernet.
then put in the game close and stuff, turn on... go 2 mode on ur menu of the game, go on online or mulitplayer (idk)
then configure conection....... save the connection configuration on a memory card.

Check Your user manual. It should come with CD for online play.

or just plug in the Ethernet cord from your router or modem in the back of your ps2 where there is a plug for ethernet.
then put in the game close and stuff, turn on... go 2 mode on ur menu of the game, go on online or mulitplayer (idk)
then configure conection....... save the connection configuration on a memory card.

I have been an online student with DeVry University for about two years now, and overall the experience has been great. But lately I've been thinking about changing my program of study, and as I started looking at other universities, I decided to research them, and I found the most terrible things about them!!! But even though I know that a traditional university or community college is a lot better, I simply don't have that option because I have a young child that I have to care for. So online education is my only choice.
So since I've ruled out University of Phoenix, I just wanted to know what you all think about other online schools like Kaplan University, AIU and other online universities?

I'm starting an online tutoring service for my new company Children Are First Tutoring Services and I would like to get some people opinion. Is Online Tutoring a good way to help children? I think to get started you might want to contact a school district and see if you can start off working with gifted children who are being taught differentiated learning in their classrooms. This would help the child as well as the teacher by giving them both a new avenue of guided exploration. As far as the age of the child is concerned, I would choose a level and work with them for awhile before branching out farther. If you're comfortable with grade school children, start there and gradually work your way up. If you work with a specific school or school district, they would also help to promote your business by using your site and telling parents about it.

I don't have the Internet browser because I have a computer at home (two, in fact) and don't see the point in having another one. You can also communicate with friends who have a Wii via an email-type system, but it's only Wii-to-Wii.

You can get the cards at the store and input the number into your Wii, or you can use your credit card to buy points directly from your Wii. Heritage High School Online and other online G.E.D Programs?
Has anyone ever completed their G.E.D online? If so, how long did it take you? More specifically has anyone used HERITAGE HIGH SCHOOL ONLINE? Yesterday and today I was working on my exams on this site and suddenly I'M DONE? Is that even possible? It seemed way too quick. I passed all of my online tests (English, Science, Civics, Mathematics) and now while I wait for final approval and grades and whatnot, I'm reading over the rest of the site. I don't want to send in the 200+ dollars if its not legit. It seemed way too easy, I don't know! ANYONE else get their G.E.D online? Details please!

so i know that on facebook you can go to privacy and change it so that your online status is visible to:
- all my networks and all of my friends
- some of my networks and all of my friends
- only my friends
- only me
- and no one
so now my question is- if i were to select "only me" or "no one," that makes it so that they don't see the "online now" thing right below your picture? what about if they were to go to "friends--%26gt; online now" would they see me listed as being online then? or would they not see anything at all?
please be as specific and clear as possible!

There are many normal people out there, but the sites control the email, and can cut off contact if they see it is serious. they don't want people to hook up. They lose business if you stop paying. Swap real email addresses early!

I don't think the online world has any more or less freaks running around than the real world. And with online dating, you can weed out a lot of characteristics that turn you off way before every meeting the person.

Which online college should I apply to? I have a online class that I registered for but do not know if its off campus and we do work online or wat?
Usually if you sign up for a class thats says "online session" is it ususally online and you work off campus and do the work at home or do we meet on campus and do the work online in the computer lab? I had a class last sesmester that was like this and we met off campus and just the work at home. My prof as well emailed me stating that " for the online class etc etc " But did not tell me if its going to be in the school. Any of you been in the situation before? Thanks

My husband has been flirting online with women and getting numbers and talking to them in our home while I'm either out or asleep. He's been caught before but promised me he would stop and he does but it's only for a few months and we go over this again. He says this shouldn't be a problem because he wouldn't get mad if I talked to other men or even had dinner with them! To me that's cheating...he say's he's just a "people person" and a free spirit. TCF Online Banking- Their balance is wrong!?
Ok, I'm totally confused because I just logged into my TCF bank account online. It said my balance was $1,319.70 including pending transactions.
So I went through my check book and subtracted any outstanding checks that I have and any amounts I intend to spend before I deposit any more money and my calculator said -$91.38!!!
I knew there was NO way this could be. So I took the balance ($1,319.70) and added all transactions that were already showing online as posted. Then I subtracted my latest deposits, all dating back until the 19th, which was the last time I have a slip showing my last known balance. (TCF doesn't do a running balance online, only shows the current balance).
Anyways, through careful memory I realized that "negative" $91.38 was actually 3 seperate transactions from yesterday and today ($82.17, $8.21, and $1 hold from a gas station).
So, why does it say online that my balance is as of 5/23/07 10:45 PM but it is not showing those transactions?

Since tomorrow is a business day, my bet is that those missing transactions will appear in your online statement sometime after noon EST.

Optimum online?
i'm thinking of switching from verizon online DSL to optimum online since verizon's highest plan is 3MB/s and Optimum online is 15 MB/s (huge difference), there are a few things though. 1) i've been reading some seriously bad reviews on optimum about the prices and the costumer service, also about them not giving the full speed they claim. is this true? and what is all about this "secret cap" i've been hearing and that they keep disconnecting you unless you pay fully in every bill. 2) will i need to switch my current phone line from verizon to optimum just to switch my online service? 3) how much do i have to pay after those 6 months of paying $23.95? and is it true that they keep making the rates higher and higher every month by giving you dumb excuses?

In some cases, people who travel to claim their winnings in Nigeria are taken hostage, and in worse-case scenarios are killed when whoever is paying ransom payments exhausts their money supply. If anything online sounds to good to be true it always is buddy.
By the way, I have kind of become an anti-scam activists due to the fact that I have many friends who have had their identities and life savings stolen from them via these methods.

They have a great curriculum and they offer tons of support for the student and the parents. There are a lot of people that are very very satisified with these schools and would recommend them. You would have a teacher for each class and you would have assignments to turn in weekly...which you would do thru fax or email. They send you an all-in-one printer, so you can fax from home. Reply:There is Connections Academy goes up to eleventh grade but it will be getting twelve grade soon. It is great. You get a wide variety of electives and there are tons of clubs. There are a lot of fun field trips to take. Go to www.connectionsacademy.com to see if it is in your state.
Online line schools are fun. You get to chose you schedule and you have livelesson which are like classes but they have a specific point. You can go on vacation a lot and do your work on the trip or work ahead. You learn a lot because it is at your pace and there are no distractions.

Reply:There is Connections Academy goes up to eleventh grade but it will be getting twelve grade soon. It is great. You get a wide variety of electives and there are tons of clubs. There are a lot of fun field trips to take. Go to www.connectionsacademy.com to see if it is in your state.
Online line schools are fun. You get to chose you schedule and you have livelesson which are like classes but they have a specific point. You can go on vacation a lot and do your work on the trip or work ahead. You learn a lot because it is at your pace and there are no distractions.
Reply:I use k12freehomeschool.org it isn't really a school but you can take as many classes as you want on there I don't know what you would call fun, but I have always HATED math but now I love it, and it has really good explanations I skipped Algebra 1/2 and I still get their Algebra ( I didn't use it till this year)

Myspace 'Online Now'?
For probably over a year now, the 'online now' blinking things don't work for my myspace. I can't see when I'm online [like if I look at my own page, i don't see it] and i can't tell when my friends are on either. I hate it because I never know who's online or anything. Does anyone know what that is? Is it my computer or something? And it's NOT that I have the 'hide online now' setting checked. I don't. This is so frustrating.

Edit Profile, then in the top right you will see account settings. From there go down and click on privacy settings, and its in the checklist at the bottom. Be sure to click on sign out when you are done on myspace.com otherwise it will have you appearing online until the system resets itself about every hour or so.

Facebook online status???
If someone changed the privacy settings to 'no-one' for 'online status', can someone see if you are online with the applications? Facebook have some applications that let you know who's online and who's checking your page. If my setting is set to "no one", does the applications can overrule my private settings, and let people know that I'm online? Thanks!

Best online PC game (CONQUEST)aerial view (not ground level)?
I played a few military online games like
EA Games "Generals" and "Zero Hour" (aerial view)
and "Company of Heroes" (aerial view)
I can't stand games where your ground level like "Socom" and "Doom" they make me sick.
I like games where you can see an aerial view of the entire map like Generals and Company of Heroes.
"Company of Heroes" is the best online aerial view game I have ever played. Full of WW2 action.
I tryed Civilization IV and Ages of Empire 3 and wasn't too impressed. It takes too long to build. I don't like games that take forever to build forces.
Does anyone know a great online conquest game that meets the following requirements?

-Takes place in the darkages, civilwar or midevil times?
-Fast build of units
-Each game will usually last no longer than 4 hrs

Ground level games or FPS(First Person Shooters) are better because your actually in the action,you have to fight the badguys.Your the one that has to run around and actually fight.
Aerial view games as you put it or Strategy games are just point and click games.No effort needed
You just watch the action and not participating in it.
Its better to fight and be in the action than it is to watch from a distance and just wave a mouse pointer around and give orders.
More adrenalin pumping action in a FPS than there is in a Strategy game

Are online degrees actually valuable?
Do companies actual choose someone with an online degree if they are up against someone with a degree from a "real life" college or university. I'm asking b/c I keep debating it for myself. And, what in what fields are online degrees most accepted? I am also not asking about taking a few courses online from a university, I'm talking about those strictly online programs.

I am considering an online degree because I work full time and I am not able to get the classes I need at night at my local university. Online degrees are becoming more popular and are more convenient to obtain for full time employees. My concern is whether employers are willing to hire someone with an online degree as opposed to a conventional classroom degree. I heard many stories about online schools: "they are good, they are bad, they are accredited, yes, they count, no they dont count"...regardless of what is said about the online schools, how do employers or big corporations carry it out when hiring someone with an online degree? do they count? has actually anyone graduated from an online school and gotten a job?....
I asked a business owner about this...and his reply was:
"Yeah, by all the other suckers who paid their money to get a quick and easy degree for little or no effort. But, if you came to my office to apply for a job with one of those "degrees", I'd call the janitor to sweep you and you useless paper work OUT of my building. God Bless you"....

We're one of the largest employers in the state and we require degrees to be regionally accredited to be considered for employment.
Online, onground, hybrid format degrees are all equally acceptable.
We strive to protect our organization from unaccredited credentials such as Kennedy Western, Almeda, Rochville, etc.
That being said, the degree gets you considered, but your skills and experience get you hired.

But, after reading the other answers I find people profusely use the terms such as accredited,recognised, regionally approved,affiliated,MOU with US universities etc vaguely misguiding readers to join such commercial ventures. Would such advocates send their wards to these schools!. These days even a tutorial institute has a website with tall claims such as offering courses for 30 years, registered as a educational society with the local government. approved by ... Govt..etc.,
I can list many but can't name them here to avoid litigations.
I may suggest one simple test to identify fake commercial institutes/universities.Check their faculty list,
...mostly it will be missing. They may display an advisory committee consisting of many doctorates in other renouned universities around the globe. Innocent or more correctly ignorant professors lend their names for misuse by such bogus institutes. I would suggest that answerers should restrict to answering Questions on truely known area only.
Reply:If a college is accredited, there are standards that they must abide by in order to receive accreditation. That said, an accredited distance learning program is no different academically than a traditional school.
The business owner you talked to may be speaking out of ignorance.
Reply:The way to look at this is, if you want to get an online degree because it is convenient for you, you have to get it from a school who is brick and mortar school meaning that they offer online courses but also have an actual campus location. It is also best to get an online degree that is both a traditional (offers on campus ) courses and online, that is regionally accreditied, and does not specify on your actual diploma whether it was an online degree on not. I would also make sure it is a school that is recognized in some sort, for instance, if you hear University of Phoenix your employer is going to know you completed it online, opposed to doing your degree online at lets say University of South Florida....Good luck!

I'd give preference to someone with appropriate experience over someone with an online degree, because online degrees imply that the person is trying to get something for the least effort possible, someone who looks for the get-rich-quick trick instead of putting in hard work to earn fair rewards.

I will admit my bias as a professor at a traditional school, but I can't see how an on-line degree parallels the learning experience you receive otherwise.

However, the 'distance learning' programs at colleges and universities which have a campus and student body, with full accreditation, are not the same at all. Some may require physical attendance for a portion of your credits while others can be earned online. Either way, you would still have earned a bachelor's from the University of X, and it has the same worth whether you did all of it in person or online.
