I want to study online?

due to the circumstances in my life right now, i'd like to study online. i already have a B.A. and i'm looking to get into something different, by doing a certificate or some sort of online program. does anyone of know reputable online universities or reputable universities' online courses? i've seen a lot of advertisements for university of phoenix online...but i don't know if these kind of things are scams, or if they will be taken seriously by my future employer.

does anyone have any advice? or have you had any experience doing an online course?

There are a number of websites offering degrees and certificates of many kinds, and they vary in quality marketedly. The ones that you see on the TV and internet ads are typically low-quality, and will have very little weight when an employer considers them on a resume. However, there are a number of Universities that offer online continuing education that also have brick-and-mortar locations. These programs are likely to be more useful, educational, and helpful to your career. A list of programs can be found here: http://www.college-scholarships.com/ssac...

Note that Boston University, Cornell University, and Gonzaga University all appear on this list. These are highly reputable institutions that will offer a decent program over the Internet.

That said, it would probably be a better choice to attend continuing education programs at a local college. The experience of actually being in a classroom is often a more powerful way to learn new things than using a computer.
Reply:What do you want to study? Most states will allow you teach with a BA. I am currently in a university in TExas that offers a 4 year teaching cert for teachers aides online. Check into you local university or where you graduated to see what they offer online. Good luck.
