Is Online Tutoring A Good Business?

I'm starting an online tutoring service for my new company Children Are First Tutoring Services and I would like to get some people opinion. Is Online Tutoring a good way to help children? Do you or anyone that you know ever used online tutoring? Was it a good experience or a bad one? Are there any ways that you can see to improve online tutoring for children? What are the appropriate ages anyways?

Is Online Tutoring A Good Business?
sure why not it is a great idea and people are opening upto web classes! Don't worry I think you would do good in time... if you think about the way even home work in US is outsourced it is not a bad idea for online tutoring it will be the future... there are already some online tutoring going on like The Growing Stars in Freemont, CA

So go ahead and do it..... But before starting have a solid business plan so that you do not fall into any kind of glitch midway.

Good luck and all the best!!! :)
Reply:I think that online tutoring for children could be a good thing. I am a teacher working on graduate degrees in gifted education and feel that computer based learning could be a good route for some students, especially the gifted kids or kids who have difficulties paying attention in class. These days, kids are going online at younger ages. First and second grade classes utilize web-based learning programs within their classrooms. I think to get started you might want to contact a school district and see if you can start off working with gifted children who are being taught differentiated learning in their classrooms. This would help the child as well as the teacher by giving them both a new avenue of guided exploration. As far as the age of the child is concerned, I would choose a level and work with them for awhile before branching out farther. If you're comfortable with grade school children, start there and gradually work your way up. If you work with a specific school or school district, they would also help to promote your business by using your site and telling parents about it.
Reply:nope
Reply:Yes, online tutoring is also effective. It's similar to Open University. Actually, I have an online painting lesson and my professor's from Chile. But now, I don't know what happened to him. I missed him already for 4 months now. Oh, I hope to hear from him soon.
Reply:It sounds like you have already decided to start the business before you have written a business plan. I think you might want to think about ways to make the tutoring sessions more personal - definitely not computerized "kill %26amp; drill" sheets.
Reply:My girlfriend does this with a company and she really enjoys it. She can wake up and teach the whole class in her PJ's
Reply:Online tutoring is a great idea..now just get a buisness plan!!!!!
Reply:Step away from the Webcam.....

If i was to have a child enrolled to your site, believe you me, I would be monitoring at all times.

If you want to Tutor.....direct it at the college level at least, leave the tutoring for young children up to the parents.

Np...I don't think it is a good idea.....delete...close...ctrl alt delete
