What i mean is if someone is using yahoo personals would it show them to be online. Or would it also show them to be online if they are using yahoo and doing other things besides looking at personals. When someone shows to be online in the personals does it mean they are in the "personals" or does it mean they are online using yahoo?
If someone is online using yahoo... would it show in the personal adds on yahoo that they are online?
On messenger when you go to preferences, if you have checked the box where it says that people may IM you, when you are on yahoo sites, you will get IMed. If you don't have that box checked, then nobody will know you are on yahoo sites.
Reply:If it shows that they are online in Yahoo Personals, then they are on line in Yahoo Personals. The other parts of yahoo, if they are on line, a yellow smiley will show, unless they are in stealth mode, or if they have optioned in their profile not to let anyone see that they are on line. Tricky eh? But you can send them an email and see if they will talk to you, from the Yahoo Member Directory Profile, sometimes no email address is given, but some times there is an option, "add me to your friends list" or "IM me" IM=Instant Message, meaning leaving a message for them in a conversation box as if you had them on your list, but maybe that conversation box will alsohave the option to add the person to your yahoo list so do so. mermaid199
