How do you get online on a PS3 game?

I have a PS3 and recently set up online on it!





Formula One Championship Edition automatically set up its online information but when I put in NBA 2K8 (which does have online mode), nothing happened.





How do I get the PS3 to download and install the NBA 2K8 online information so that I can play online?





NOTE: When I tried to go online while 'in' NBA 2K8, it said I had to go to Network Settings. I did that, and it didn't help!





HELP!!

How do you get online on a PS3 game?
I doubt you set it up properly try using the web browser to see if it is connected.
