Online college question. Please read details!?

I want to get a couple degrees one of which I will be in school for quite a while. I was thinking about taking some online college courses to get some credits out of the way while I am attending a college or university. Would I be able to do this and easily transfer those credits I earn online to the college or university I am attending? What online colleges would let me do this? And would it even be beneficial for me to do so if I want to finish a bit quicker? (Taking classes online and in the building?) Any other info/advice/personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

THANKS!

Online college question. Please read details!?
Online courses are a great way to get nonessential requirements or elective credits out of the way. However, the school you attend may not accept the credits. The best thing to do is to find a particular online course you want to take, and then ask your adviser if the class will meet requirements. If at all possible, get the response in writing to prevent any future misunderstandings.

Many universities are now offering online courses. So, the best place to look is the school you are currently attending. If they don't have online courses, expand your search to community colleges and state universities. These courses will be the most widely accepted. However, some universities will require admittance to the school before accepting online students. It all depends upon the school. For basic level classes, search for independent study program at various schools. For example, LSU has an extensive independent study program that offers course ranging from preparatory English courses to senior level courses in History.

Reply:I hav taken an online course myself for the same reason. it was extremely easy, and i didnt learn anything.

if u want to finish quickly do it, but if u want to learn dont
Reply:Do you plan on doing online classes WHILE attending college? If so, why not just take those classes at the campus you are attending? Also, depending on the online college, your credits may not transfer to a university.
