Just curious how many people


a- have had a date with someone they met online?


b- Have had a serious relationship with someone they met online?


c- Have actually married someone that they met online?


--if the answer is c, when did you know you wanted to marry that person, was it when you started talking online or after you actually met them?

Online dating?
Yes, I had been online dating for 5 yrs. All were serious relationships. Met my husband over a year ago, and we both just knew we would get married. I think it is a great way to meet someone as long as you are careful.
Reply:someone i knew a couple years ago met his wife online. she had IMed him from some search... aol or something... they had both been divorced i think... anyway they're married now and have been for a few years. i dunno about question c though for them.

- we're not yet married.. but i knew a friend who met her husband in online games too..

I find that it is incredibly odd....that first meeting. I spend quite a while getting to know a person, before dating them. Yet, there are the nuances that contribute to who someone really is....that just can't be picked up on via the internet or telephone.





So, I don't think that you can really know for sure about someone until you meet them, and spend a little time together.

Reply:ok i think C applies to me. i will be marrying my honey soon. but we have been together for about a year and we are planning to marry next year. i didnt think i wanted to marry him unitll 6 onths ago .. do the math :)
